Energy Access: Mini Grids
Awareness that energy is a key element for most human activities, central to the strategies that aim to solve the great challenges of our times and indispensable to be able to seize new opportunities, has pushed the international community to set itself very ambitious goals.
If on the one hand, decarbonisation and the energy transition to renewable sources represent an objective that cannot be postponed anymore, on the other hand there is also the need to guarantee access to energy for the entire world population. Through the "Sustainable Development Goals" the United Nations have set themselves the goal of ensuring access to affordable, reliable, sustainable and modern energy systems by 2030 : considering that one fifth of the world's population does not have access to modern electric means and that 3 billion people depend on wood, coal, charcoal or animal manure for cooking and heating, it immediately becomes clear that the objective requires targeted and enormous investments; it follows that, in order to be able to reach them, it is essential that the public and private sectors can find ways to work side by side.
The objective of this panel is therefore to introduce the world of rural electrification, outlining its main aspects; in a nutshell, the main question we want to try to answer is: how do you build a rural electrification investment through minigrids? And what are the cornerstones?

IMPACT OF INDUSTRY 5.0 ON THE POWER INDUSTRY
INDUSTRY 5.0 represents since its launch on December 1st, 2015 the FIRST INDUSTRIAL EVOLUTION EVER LED BY MAN (HUMAN). My name is Michael Rada, I am the Founder and implement the principles of systematic waste prevention in companies and businesses since 2013 already.
In my keynote, I will deliver insight into the impact that already INDUSTRY 5.0 already delivered in the POWER INDUSTRY and not only there so as a prediction of the future development.
The keynote will not reflect only one man's position, but the situation in 102 countries, that represent at the moment the network of INDUSTRY 5.0 AMBASSADORS established to deliver the tools of systematic waste prevention to 87% of the global population.
I am looking forward to meeting you and discussing the topic

Opportunities in Green Energy and the Energy Transition in North American Business
The energy transition is needed for environmental protection, but it also brings enormous financial opportunities with it as well. Rare earths and critical minerals are in everything — such as smartphones, computer, renewable energy sources, and critical national security devices such as fighter jets and drones. Currently, 84 percent of rare earth extraction and production is done outside of North America, despite North America being a massive consumer of goods containing these components. Why is this, and is it best for the global economy? The US and Canada have the highest ESG standards and best practices for responsible development of these critical resources. Support is needed for domestic projects that will benefit North America’s strategic position and are developed in an environmentally and socially responsible manner. All peoples must benefit from this development, and we must ensure that no one is exploited as this growth continues.

Why I am making a film about suing the fossil fuel industry
We have known about the threat of climate change for decades. We already have the technology needed to transition to a renewable energy future. And yet, politicians are still not acting with the urgency required.
That is why coalitions of concerned citizens and lawyers across the world are now sidestepping the stalemate of politics and challenging the fossil fuel industry directly in court.
Mette Reitzel is the creative director of a collaborative documentary film following four of these landmark cases.
The talk explores why she initiated this project, and how climate litigation and storytelling can be used as effective tools to accelerate the transition to renewable energy.

Renewable and Sustainability in the 21st Century
How Best can we tell a Renewable action/ project is sustainable, a football field solar panel to power an entire city or a cubic size of Uranium to power a country for decade? Where does Sustainability starts from and at what point can we call a renewable project a sustainable one. This are questions stakeholders have struggled with, let’s discuss taking away the politics and activism from Sustainability.

CO2 Emissions Reporting Standards And How Solar Energy Can Reduce Emissions Across Value Chains
To accelerate decarbonization, many public- and private-sector organizations are committing to achieving net-zero carbon emissions. As the sheer magnitude of the challenge to achieve net-zero becomes clear, more hope is being placed on our ability to scale up technologies for carbon capture and storage (CCS). This conference will discuss the immenent transition to renewable energy, the standards for CO2 emissions reporting, and how solar energy can be used to reduce emissions across value chains.

Productive use of Renewable Energy for Food Security in Kenya
Many African Countries cannot meet food demand because of reliance on rain fed agriculture. Solar electricity in Africa is now the cheapest electricity globally. By leveraging renewable energy technologies across distributed value chains, scaling up can happen very rapidly and create the much needed jobs and food for the growing continent. Africa is a super power when it comes to renewable energy options and this should translate in more clean and sustainable food production by applying this competitive advantage across production value chains.

Fundamental Principles of Sustainability, Circularity, Regeneration and ESG
The recent increase in awareness about climate change and ecocide is phenomenal. Suddenly there is money to be made - specialist advisors, auditors and software offers abound. There are courses, summits and webinars every day. ESG and Net Zero are top of mind for companies, investors, shareholders and consumers. Hype, jargon and geek speak overwhelm and discourage. Some leaders, we’re noticing, have limited understanding of the fundamental issues. Lorraine has a new workshop that covers the basic science, causes, effects and solutions. She offers techniques and templates to help her audience make better choices. They leave feeling informed and inspired with the courage to demand a safer future.
